Some Recent Work

Yesterday was a big website day for me.  I had three sites go live all in the same day, so I thought I might show them off a little: This website is for Linger, a lingerie boutique in Spring Lake, New Jersey. It's mainly a blog for the[...]

Work Space

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nora practically runs away from me in her rush to get to school. She is loving the cute little Montessori preschool we found for her in a renovated house, making a bunch of friends, and having such a grand old[...]

Getting Stuff Done

It's two am and I really should be sleeping, but I'm having one of those nights when I can't stop myself from trying to catch up, at least a little, on my emails, website work, blogging, and a million other things.   One of the big downside[...]

Business Decisions

As always, I am long overdue for an update on Papoose. I haven't said much about it since World Breastfeeding Week, largely because World Breastfeeding Week felt like my last-ditch effort to garner some additional support and interest in my goa[...]

Oh, Hello…

Just coming up for air before diving back into a million and one website projects.  I am juggling four websites right now and about to start another.  I had hoped to stay right on schedule and complete each of my weekly websites on time, but o[...]

30 Days of Thanks: Work Completed

I'm one week into my great business experiment (the one where I offered a web design package and set out to build one site per week) and so far all is looking good.  I finished the first website perfectly on time and am very pleased with i[...]

Labeling a Life of Work and Family

It seems I've forgotten how to blog...and maybe dial the phone, too.  Thank goodness for Facebook where I can at least post an occasional status update or photo as a means of reassuring my mother (all the way down in Texas) that, yes, we'r[...]

World Breastfeeding Week & A Papoose Update

I've been pretty quiet about Papoose lately, because aside from teaching Tiny Tumblers classes and doing the occasional private lactation consultation, I haven't been doing a lot.  I took a break blogging over there when I got pregnant and[...]

We had a cold snap and yesterday we had to get all bundled up for Zara's soccer game. It was 30 degrees and, despite these pictures, Vivi's patience for being out there did not last long. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 80 degrees and we're really looking forward to warmth again.

By the way, my awesome gaiter came from our client @isacattostudio. Isa paints patterns and makes really beautiful textiles and notebooks with her patterns. ♥️ her work and team.

Yesterday we got our first taste of summer. It was warm enough that we got out the sprinkler in the afternoon. I worked most of the day but had a nice break for a couple hours in the afternoon during which I sat outside listening to music and watching the 4 of them dance in the yard. I couldn't ask for much more on a Monday.

Walking around the neighborhood with Z and I'm reliving my first experience with entrepreneurship: @girlscouts cookie sales. My mom was our troop leader (all the way through Juniors) and I remember our garage piled high with boxes and boxes of cookies.

It's fun watching Z try her hand at sales. She is fearless and no problem describing every cookie to complete strangers. Despite having never done it before, she has an incredibly aggressive goal of selling 1500 boxes of cookies. If any kid can do it, though, I think she can.
