Officially Introducing…

After more than a month’s work, writing policies and setting prices, designing and developing, I am excited to finally share my web design(+) website.

Chris and I have come to realize that no matter how hard I work at Papoose, it is going to be very slow progress to the final realization of my dream.  In the meantime, I have to make money and it’s become clear that web design and related services are how I’m going to do it.  I enjoy the artistic side that is design and also the nerdy challenge of making the design a reality through miles of code and tricks.  I can do it from home on whatever schedule works for me and Nora, and, at least for now, I have been getting a steady flow of business.  Which means I am now the proud (though somewhat surprised) owner of not one, but two, businesses (one of which isn’t anything more than a business on paper, but still).

In addition to building websites, I am also offering logo design, social media strategy and management, SEO consulting, and personalized training on a variety of topics.  I’m excited about this newish venture, and its possibilities for helping us to pay off debt faster so we can start saving for our very own $750,000 Nantucket fixer-upper.  I’m also super excited about this website.  Go check it out!

How or where did you learn to do all this??? I amblown away by your talent.

    1. Thanks. 🙂 Lots of reading and lots of trial and error. Every website I do, I learn something new. I also now regularly read the source code of websites I visit and like, to see how they are built.

  3. Wonderful!! I’m sure Chris is very proud of you. Are you able to study and read source code of large corporate websites? What a wonderful way to learn! I’d say you’ve found your niche in the business world, and can market enough business for an assistant or two in the future! With the way the housing market has been, that $750K house might drop to $600K even in Nantucket! You’re on your way! 🙂 🙂

  4. Congrats Amber! Your hard work is paying off, and I’m sure it can only get better!
