Nora has been four for four days now. We celebrated with our usual family breakfast of her choice before Chris went to work. She chose the exact same thing as last year: cinnamon rolls and berries, which we ate picnic style on our deck.

I made my pumpkin cinnamon rolls with applesauce instead of pumpkin and they turned out great. Definitely a substitution to remember, and one that is both mom and kid-approved.
After breakfast she opened up her presents from us,

and Grandpa John who sent something especially fun…

Rollerskates!

I never got around to posting Nora’s birthday interview on Friday because I was so busy with party prep, but I did upload it to YouTube, so maybe you saw it there?
I especially love the part where she tells me it’s funny that princesses all want to get married and have husbands…and I think she’s about to be all progressive until she tells us that they have to clean and do chores too. Haha!
It’s a little long because I just couldn’t cut any of it. I won’t hold it against you if you don’t watch the whole thing. π I can’t get over how different she is from last year. You really don’t realize how much they have changed in so little time until you go back and look at videos or pictures of them.
Birthday party pictures coming tomorrow since I hear a little someone awake and babbling to Dada who has to work tomorrow morning.

That interview was so good!!! I watched the whole thing and my favorite part was when she couldn’t tell you her friends’ names!! Oh and about how big Wyoming is:) She sure is sweet!

Wow! She’s so much more chatty than the last time we were together! I love how she keeps saying “isn’t that funny?” and that she is going to be a firefighter on Nantucket π Miss you guys! happy 4th Nora!!! xo Jess & Ella

Love the roller-skates! Hope the birthday party turned out to be fun – whatever happened to the over malfunction?
