CSA & 58 Days to Go
This morning was a bright-and-early for both Chris and me. He to one of his last days working in American Bounty, and I went to the farm at 6 am for work hours. I picked snap peas for two hours, cleaned the eyes off of potatoes, helped set up the tables for distribution, and washed eggs. I feel so productive; and check out our beautiful share this week!
Rhubarb, radishes, beets, rosemary, sage, mint, parsley, cilantro, potatoes, scallions, snap peas, garlic scapes, cooking greens, green lettuce, red lettuce, cabbage, tat soy, and raspberries. Yum!
And the count down says: only 58 days to go until baby’s due date! Which means that in a little bit less than two months, we’re going to meet our little guy or girl (or I’m going to be very miserable…). At my doctor’s visit yesterday, I learned that I’ve gained 3 more lbs (up to a whopping 149). I laughed with the nurse, because next time, she’s going to have to slide the bottom weight over to 150 before she moves the top one. Since we don’t have a scale at home, it’s kind of fun to go see what has changed since my last appointment. The baby is about 3 lbs or so now and according to the books, doing lots of growing. so big, in fact, that I can now see baby move in addition to feeling it. Check out today’s picture of my big belly!
