Today I am thankful for our wonderful mother’s helper/babysitter.
“Ms. J” comes to our house two mornings a week which enables me to catch up on cleaning, work on websites, and even go to regular P.E.O. meetings again. The girls love her and she is phenomenal with them — she even plays the games that I secretly hate playing. I am so thankful that she found me when I was complaining online about not being able to find anyone to watch the girls in our house. I’m thankful to be able to get 8 hours to do things that I want or need to do without worrying about my girls or not knowing what they are doing. Having them here in our house is the best childcare I could have asked for; I can still interact with Nora between projects and activities, and I can still cuddle Zara when she wants to be cuddled. This extra freedom is invaluable to me and and helps me keep my sanity. I feel so luckily that Ms. J is here to make it possible.
