Homemade (My First Giveaway!)

I love making homemade everything.  I’m a little bit crazy about it in fact…I always have at four or five projects going at once.  (Which really makes my husband crazy.)  I dabble in sewingbakingcraftingand canning.

Not to forget, knitting, cross stitch, and website building.

So when I saw today that one of my Facebook friends was going to giveaway five homemade things in 2011, I had to join in on the fun…which makes this my first giveaway post!

Here’s how it works: leave me a comment here; for an optional second entry, share this post on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog, and then leave a second comment telling me you did so.  Comments must be received midnight eastern on Thursday, January 13, 2011; on Friday the 14th, I’ll use Random.org to pick five winners and announce them here.  I’ll contact you to receive your mailing information and sometime before December 31, 2011, you’ll receive a fun package in the mail from me.  Feel free to tell me what you would like in your comment, but no guarantees.  I can’t say what the five things will be yet…but the surprise is part of the fun!

OK! I shared your link on fb. I hope you get lots of entries (even though that means my chances of winning a prize will be diminished :-). If I dooooo win, I think I’d like one of the headbands that you make – I could really use that for yoga. Hope you have a great Saturday!

Oh oh! Pick me! One of my Delaware friends did this too on her facebook page so I also reposted on Facebook and am getting ready to make lots of homemade goodies 🙂

Oh how fun Amber! Count me in! I too have become obsessed with homemade things and repurposing things in our home. My latest project is a quilt (which I’ve never done before) made out of old cloths that don’t fit and we never wear anymore for Addie’s “big girl bed” I’m giving myself a head start to make sure I finish it before her transition out of the crib.

[…] also been having fun planning some creative things for that homemade giveaway I did.  It worked out that I only received 5 comments, so everybody won and nobody will be […]

I remember when she used to pretend to work on websites on a leapfrog play computer because that's what she heard me talking about. And now she has her own real computer and is super into writing - she even started a blog. 😭 They grow up way too fast.

I'm officially a dance mom. 💃

This whole competition thing is not something I did as a kid so it feels pretty foreign, but Nora is super into it and I couldn't be more proud of her. Last weekend was her first competition and because of COVID audience restrictions Chris brought her and I watched on the livestream. This weekend Vivienne and I brought her. I can't wait to see her on that stage. 🤩🤩

Bath time with ambiance a la #ERCOT.

Luckily we have not been affected by the water issues so many others have experienced. I finally decided to bathe the little girls for the first time in over a week (with a tiny amount of water, I promise) and the power went out again. We got out a lantern and decided to just roll with it. At least it's not below 30 anymore and I managed to get the diapers washed earlier today when we thought things were back to normal.

Maybe this is the universe's way of making sure I don't stay up until 2AM working?

#snowpocalypse and poor planning on the part of the Texas Electric grid means we're experiencing a candle lit evening. So far every one is still having fun and it's not too cold in here yet so we're calling it an adventure.
