Homemade (My First Giveaway!)

I love making homemade everything.  I’m a little bit crazy about it in fact…I always have at four or five projects going at once.  (Which really makes my husband crazy.)  I dabble in sewingbakingcraftingand canning.

Not to forget, knitting, cross stitch, and website building.

So when I saw today that one of my Facebook friends was going to giveaway five homemade things in 2011, I had to join in on the fun…which makes this my first giveaway post!

Here’s how it works: leave me a comment here; for an optional second entry, share this post on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog, and then leave a second comment telling me you did so.  Comments must be received midnight eastern on Thursday, January 13, 2011; on Friday the 14th, I’ll use Random.org to pick five winners and announce them here.  I’ll contact you to receive your mailing information and sometime before December 31, 2011, you’ll receive a fun package in the mail from me.  Feel free to tell me what you would like in your comment, but no guarantees.  I can’t say what the five things will be yet…but the surprise is part of the fun!

OK! I shared your link on fb. I hope you get lots of entries (even though that means my chances of winning a prize will be diminished :-). If I dooooo win, I think I’d like one of the headbands that you make – I could really use that for yoga. Hope you have a great Saturday!

Oh oh! Pick me! One of my Delaware friends did this too on her facebook page so I also reposted on Facebook and am getting ready to make lots of homemade goodies 🙂

Oh how fun Amber! Count me in! I too have become obsessed with homemade things and repurposing things in our home. My latest project is a quilt (which I’ve never done before) made out of old cloths that don’t fit and we never wear anymore for Addie’s “big girl bed” I’m giving myself a head start to make sure I finish it before her transition out of the crib.

It's that time again... Girl Scout cookies! And this year we have two selling. Help them meet their cookies sales goals by ordering online.

If you live nearby, choose girl delivery and help get cookie boxes out of our garage... Otherwise we're going to be giving them Girl Scout Cookies for birthday and Christmas presents all year.

Bus stop selfie with Nora. This week she moved from her tiny charter school with only 18 eighth graders to the public middle school with over 200. And now she rides the bus.

The charter school wasn't challenging her enough, has a huge percentage of students who are disruptive in the classroom, and has been having trouble keeping teachers. Last year she loved it. But this year it was one thing after another, so right before Thanksgiving she and I went to go tour our neighborhood middle school, and she immediately wanted to make the switch.

We've never had a kid in public school and I was nervous about how the transition would go from such a small school to a big one, but so far she's loving it and is glad she decided to move schools. It helps that she knows kids there already from her dance team. Hopefully she'll still be happy when she starts getting homework. Coming from a no homework school that may be a shock to us all.

Halloween 2022. Two witches, a murderous cat, and a creepy Victorian doll.

Zara's costume was my favorite this year - Nora did her makeup and she wore my flower girl dress from my mom and step-dad's wedding. She might have worn it better. 😂
