The Interconnectedness of Motherhood and Love

in

I went to a #blessingway for a friend a couple weeks ago and we did a #binding circle where we named ourselves, our children, and the names of the #mothers before us as far back as we could remember. There is something incredible about our interconnectedness as daughters who became women and mothers raising daughters who will one day become mothers. It’s a shared experience both unique and universal all at once.
I can’t bear to cut this bracelet off. I love looking at it and being reminded of the #love with which my daughters were brought into the world – a love that goes back for generation after generation. My name is Amber. I am mother to Eleanor and Zara. My mother is Sharon and her mother is Norma. Before Norma was my great-grandmother, Louise; before her Rebecca and Grace.
