Nora had her first lemonade stand this weekend and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever.
We decided last minute to have a yard sale Saturday morning and I thought a lemonade stand would be a fun way to keep her entertained, so Friday Nora and I made a sign, baked cookies, and had a mini lesson on quarters and dollars.
Saturday morning she was so proud to set up the stand, and she did such a great job asking people if they wanted to buy lemonade or cookies that she actually sold out before our garage sale ended. After she paid us back for the supplies (which cost $16.50), Nora had made a little over $14. I still can’t believe this amazing little person used to be so shy it was debilitating. Clearly we just needed to give her her own time.
Sunday, we made a trip down to Estes Park to spend the day with Chris’ family who had rented a house there for the weekend. The girls had a blast with their Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Maurie and Uncle Cole, and we all enjoyed the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park. I feel so blessed to live in this spectacular place, especially after the barren Wyoming plains.
