Today, we were invited to the girl’s school to take part in a thank you ceremony for State Representative Terry Wilson. He has been advocating for charter schools and charter school funding, so the school presented him with a plaque.
Today, Nora shined. Her artwork was the artwork selected out of all the student submissions to be framed on the plaque. Prior to the ceremony, she gave Rep. Wilson a tour of their school orchard, which her class maintains, and she also spoke on behalf of the student body while presenting him with the plaque. She was well-spoken and poised. I couldn’t have been more proud.
