Our bumble bee turned 6.5 over the weekend. I decided a long time ago that I wanted to celebrate half birthdays with the girls. We don’t usually do anything crazy – a cupcake with a candle and two books – but it’s a special little thing for our family that they (and I) love. I think that the time flies by much faster than we want it to – especially with the craziness of owning our own business, school year activities, and summers on the road. It’s important to slow down for little moments and make some magical memories when we can. ❤️
This is Zara at 6.5: a goofy girl with an infectious smile, who loves to read, do art, and dance. She’s a die-hard vegetarian – eats even less animal products than I do. She loves to help take care of her little sister and does her best to keep up with her older sister as much as she can, despite my best efforts to keep her “little.” Zara’s like my mini me more than any of the other girls, and she and I most definitely have very similar personalities (for better or worse).
Swipe to see photos from her dance recital + one of her cute chubby cheeks from 6 years ago when she was 6 months old.
