Yesterday, we drove to Idaho and who knew this was going to be the last perfect picture I would take of the passenger side of our trailer. In case you missed it in my stories, we had a tire blowout about an hour away from our campground. The force of the tire exploding ripped the flashing off from the front of the slideout to in front of the other rear tire, broke two caps on water lines nearby, and blew a hole in the floor above the tire.
It sounded like a gun shot and there was lots of smoke, but Chris got us safely to the shoulder in seconds, so it all turned out ok. We were very lucky.
We made some temporary fixes, so we’re good to finish out the rest of our adventures, but that’s one very memorable state line crossing. …
