Chris caught me hard at work on the roof of our hotel, overlooking the Hudson. I swear I’m having a good time…just a moment of concentration. .. We came to New York to attend @lwtech’s NY Summit, and we had an amazing time. I’ve been developing websites for Lesbian Who Tech since 2014, and it has been amazing to be a (small) part of the organization’s growth. I’ve always felt proud to be coding for good, but spending time at this conference and finally getting to experience it first hand has really solidified it for me. .. This week, Chris and I have met and listened to talks given by incredibly kind, intelligent, and tenacious women and LGBTQ folk of all ethnicities and backgrounds. Never before have I been to a conference where I have laughed so hard or learned so much in such an inclusive and badass environment. I’m thankful for this experience and the amazing doors owning my own business has opened for me. .
Now, it’s Friday night and the conference is wrapping up – we’re going to the after party for one last evening of fun with our new friends, then tomorrow we fly home to give our babies a much needed squeeze. . . .
