The end of May was so crazy, I’m just now looking at the work Nora brought home from school. This essay on Mount Everest blew me away. All in legible cursive, 5 sentences with perfect spelling, grammar, and punctuation – including commas! I’ll admit there were a few weeks in the fall when I started to question the Montessori philosophy of letting the children choose their own work (when all she want to do was draw), but by spring any doubts I had disappeared. N learned so much this year and loved every moment of it. She’s already wishing she could be back at school! I feel so lucky to have found our amazing charter school and that our girls can get this wonderful education that they enjoy, for free. ❤️
