My mom sent me this picture of herself at 16 months and I just had to share it along side a picture of Nora at the same age.I wish I had a smiley-er (smilier?) profile of Nora, but alas it seems that most of my photos from a year ago are head on and/or very blurry. Either way, I was amazed to see how much Nora looks like my mom. I did see some of my family in her before, but not a lot of myself (I was a very rounded-head baby), and mostly Chris. Seeing this picture reminded me that she did get more from me than just big ears.
I’m happy to report that the possible ear infection was a false alarm or a fluke or something. I don’t really know what was going on the other night; the crying certainly was real, but the next morning Nora was back to her old self, not crying or complaining or pulling on her ear at all. She said it was fine. I, on the other hand, have the sniffles again. I think I’m just going to get all illness for 2012 out of the way this month. After this, I’m done, okay Universe?
