Recipe Explosion

This post is going to contain two apologies.

First off, I have to apologize if your reader is overflowing with posts from me.  When I first started sharing recipes on this site, I had added them as pages rather than actual blog posts.  I don’t really see myself as a food blogger, but now and then, I do have recipes that are good enough to share.  I thought posting them as pages would allow for their integration without distracting from the things I really want to write about.  However, the page thing was starting to get a little unwieldy, and I wanted people to be able subscribe to an RSS feed just for my recipes if they’re interested in that…which meant I had to re-publish them all as posts.  I managed to set them up as “asides” so they’ll take up less space in the stream, which is a good compromise, I think.  I finally got around to executing it all today, which is why you may have a ton of new things to read. 

Don’t worry, I’m not going for some sort of blogging record – after today we’ll return to our normally scheduled programming.  I, personally, don’t follow blogs that post more than 2 things per day.  Any more than that and you lose me as a reader – it’s too much.  It’s overwhelming.  (That’s one of the reasons I can never subscribe to The Pioneer Woman – I really want to, she’s right up my alley.  I have tried to follow her at least three times, but always end up unsubscribing after opening my reader to see five or six new posts in one day.  My brain screams “information overload” and I hit unsubscribe.)  So, I promise to never post more than one per day (which is my goal, but often life doesn’t allow for even that)  plus an occasional recipe.

I have about a million more recipes to post, but I think I’ve flooded the blog enough for one day and food can be exhausting: And now, here’s the second apology for the post:  I’m sorry this is such a nuts-and-bolts post and that there’s only one picture of Nora.  But I did manage to stick one in!

Normal posting will resume tomorrow.  I’m going to try to update recipes a little bit more frequently (try being the key word) and to post some more healthy things, which would be in line with Housewife Challenge #6, if recipes are something you would like to see.  Let me know.
